Imagine The Bourne Identity meets Gravity and you'll get TRACER, the most exciting action thriller set in space you'll ever read.
A huge space station orbits the Earth, holding the last of humanity. It's broken, rusted, falling apart. We've wrecked our planet, and now we have to live with the consequences: a new home that's dirty, overcrowded and inescapable.
What's more, there's a madman hiding on the station. He's about to unleash chaos. And when he does, there'll be nowhere left to run.
In space, every second counts. Who said nobody could hear you scream?

So after seeing so many comparisons to The 100 TV series, I knew that Tracer was a book that I really wanted to read (I’d previously been debating it as one that sounds really good but would it be?). And like they said this book totally helps with the withdrawal symptoms.

And I am so glad that I listened to these people because this was a book that I thoroughly enjoyed!

There seems to have been a lot of complaints about not really caring for the characters. And I can see where they are coming from. But for me, this slight detachment didn’t really matter. I had become so engrossed in the story that all I really cared about was the ending and that Riley’s mission would be successful.

I did like that the story was told from the point of view of three characters – Riley, Prakesh and Darnell. With Riley being told in the first person, and Prakesh and Darnell being told in the third person. I guess this was to emphasis that Riley is the main character and the one we should be really routing for. While I liked how Prakesh was used to show what was happening in different areas of Outer Earth. It was nice to not always be focused on the main protagonist and their journey. What I did want was a bit more from Darnell and his back-story, just to make him feel a bit more villainous, and to understand him better.

What was great was how good the story was. There were a lot of actions scenes, but they were so well written that it was easy to follow what was happening. Normally I get a bit confused and don’t really know what is happening, but that is not the case here. Also there were a few twists and turns that I didn’t expect to happen until the very last moment. It was all quite exciting.

Tracer was an action-packed, compelling and compulsive story. It did leave me wanting more and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
