Kate thinks all her wishes have come true when she opens her own little craft shop in the idyllic harbour town of St Felix.
But she soon finds a mystery lingers in her new shop - a sixty-year-old love story told through beautiful paintings and intricate embroideries.
Jack, the owner of the nearby art shop, volunteers to help Kate unravel the mystery, but in doing so they realise their own lives share some uncanny similarities with Clara and Arty, their 1950s counterparts . . .
Can Kate and Jack put right a decades-old wrong, and maybe find their own happy ending on the way?

There is definitely something magical in the air with Kate and Clara’s Curious Cornish Craft Shop. If you want something that is fun, whimsical and with a twist of magic then you need not look any further.

After reading this excellent book it is super hard to write this review. Mainly because there are so many elements that took me by surprise and made the book what it is. And I don’t want to spoil those moments that make this book so enjoyable.

I know that Ali has written books set around St. Felix before. But if you are a newbie like me, don’t let that put you off! as you can easily read this story without reading the previous. and it may even make you want to pick up the other books. Or is you’re an oldie, enjoy catching up with some of your favourite characters. There is definitely something for everyone.

While we mainly focus on Kate, Jack and Julian in modern day St Felix. We also get glimpses of St. Felix in the late 1950’s through the eyes of Clara, Arty and Maggie. And I loved finding out about their lives and what their stories signify. And I somehow felt like I knew St. Felix and could picture the pretty harbour and beach and the fisherman houses. There were times when I felt like I was standing there with the gang.

This will make you believe that anything is possible as Kate and Clara’s Curious Cornish Craft Shop will sweep you of through the pages. This was a really enjoyable read and one that I actually cannot wait to dive back into as soon as possible!
