David Attenborough: explorer, broadcaster, natural historian.Explore the beauty of the world we inhabit with national treasure, David Attenborough.
A Life Story: this gripping series throws the reader directly into the lives of modern society's most influential figures. With striking black-and-white illustration along with timelines and fascinating facts.

I am a huge fan of David Attenborough, so I knew when I read his life story that I would be in for a treat. And as I’m currently rewatching Blue Planet while writing this you know that I write this from the heart.

I really enjoyed reading this and being able to dip in and out of the various chapters. I loved that each chapter was filled with not only information and fact about David’s life but also other history and interesting facts. For example there is information on the Second World War, information on others such as Dian Fossey, and information about the species studies for example Gorillas and Komodo Dragons.

There is a lot of information packed into this tiny book. But what makes it equally special is that at the end there is a further reading section. Meaning that if you are a budding zoologist there are more books you can recommend. And on top of that there is a glossary for all the terminology used. And an index if you are after information on a particular point.

Overall this was an enjoyable book, that I could take my time to read. It is definitely aimed at a younger audience, but it a great introduction to an incredible man.
