Random Thoughts: My Bookish Resolutions for 2018

Every year I set my resolutions, my bookish resolutions for 2018 are no different. Normally achieving these resolutions are a challenge. However, I do like having a list it gives me some sense of purpose. And if I ever get time it will allow to do something more with my blog.  And that is  the whole point of resolutions, they make you feel good!

Last year I set myself five little resolutions. Some of them I achieved. Others I failed miserably. This year I hope to achieve all my goals, but we will find out at the end of the year.

So my goals this year are:

To actually complete a challenge I set myself

Last year I set the task of completing a musical challenge and my Goodreads challenge. I failed. Completely on the musical challenge and I had to reduce the Goodreads one. This year I want to complete one challenge without resorting to cheating!!

Reduce the amount of arc’s / netgalley books I have to read

I feel like this is an on-going aim. But a good one nevertheless. Until I no longer have piles and piles of books on my floor this goal will always be on my list.

Post some of my features more regularly

I feel that I’m quite good when it comes to posting reviews (some of you may disagree with me). But when it comes to posting features I fail miserably. I’m going to try and post other things here because I do have ideas,I just never seem to get them from my head to the blog….

Be more active in the blogosphere

I am active on Bookstagram and I love that community but I want to try and interact more with those that are not on Instagram. My aim is to focus on Twitter and blog posts. I’ve noticed on my own blog there has been a reduction in the amount of post comments and likes and it does make me sad. I blog for me, but at the same time I want that recognition. Maybe if I chat more on other people blogs more will chat on mine?

To not stress about a schedule

This is a really hard goal to set myself. Because I do stress. I can see less and less people coming to my blog when I don’t post regularly. To not see regular results and to see my blog improve. But I have to be realistic, I work full time and go to uni part and blog in between. And something has to give. Unfortunately that means that if I don’y have any posts scheduled and exams are around the corner I’m not going to panic. I’m not disappearing, just real life is getting in the way.

So what do you think of my Bookish Resolutions for 2018? And what are your own Bookish Resolutions this year?
