Random Thoughts: My Anticipated Reads of 2016

So I think it times to state some of my anticipated reads of 2016! These are some of the books that I cannot wait to get my hands on and read. There are others out there that I want to read as well. Although if I’m being honest most of them seem to be sequels. I’ve put them in date order here and NOT in order of preference.   This is the final book in the Red Rising Trilogy and I am so excited for this read. I feel like we have waited far too long for this book. I adored Red Rising and Golden Son so I have high hopes for this book. If you haven’t yet read this series then I highly recommend it to you, this is a series that won’t leave you disappointed. v       I first heard about this book at the Cheltenham Literature Festival where I was privileged enough to attend the Bloomsbury Book Party, and an extract of this book was read out by Meg Rosoff herself. The extract was hilarious and […]

Monthly Round-up! December 2015

Monthly Round-up, linking everything that has happened in the last month, posted on the last day of said month. This Round-up December 2015. So another year has come to end. When I first started this blog, I thought that I would last six months. If that. And now. Now I can say that I have been blogging for nearly two years! Honestly hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and an amazing New Year! Currently reading:   Reviews:   Bookish Gossip:   Challenges: Last month I said it would be easy to reach the target of 100 books this year for the GoodReads Challenge. How wrong was I. I managed 99 books, but really struggled with the motivation to read that last book. This means that my challenges this year have been terrible as I have not completed a single challenge. Hopefully I will have better luck in 2016… So what do you think of my round-up December 2015? What have you read this month? Random Thoughts: My Bookish Resolutions for 2016

This year I want to do better with my blog, and what better way to start the new year with some bookish goals to aim for?! So my Bookish Resolutions 2016 are: To complete the reading challenges I set myself. In 2015 I didn’t complete a single challenge. I got close but never got 100%. Hopefully this year will be different. To comment on other blogs. I started commenting on other blogs mid-year and it went really well for a couple of months and then I slowly stopped. Time to get back in the swing of it! Reduce the amount of ARC’s / Netgalley books I have to read. This is a bit of a pressurised ask as I feel that I have a lot of books to read, but can’t read my own books because of books from publishers. So the aim is to reduce that pile. However… read some of my own books for my own pleasure. Sometimes I feel blogging can take over and sometimes the joy of pure reading is lost. So I want to read books for the sake of reading […]

Monthly Round-up! November 2015

Monthly Round-up, linking everything that has happened in the last month, posted on the last day of said month. This Round-up November 2015. Currently reading: Reviews:   Bookish Gossip: I completely failed at writing something… Must try and improve   Pastime Pleasures: Again month I didn’t post anything for this feature this month. And I promised I would have two posts up for you and it didn’t happen. Although I can promise that I wrote the posts and then didn’t post them…   Challenges: As per usual I’m participating in the Goodreads Challenge. Only the Goodreads challenge is left and currently I have only three books left before I reach my target. I think I can safely say that that is a target that will be reached before the new year. And despite my moaning and lack of enthusiasm the last few months I think I can be impressed with the knowledge that so far this year I have read an eclectic 97 books 🙂 So what do you think of my round-up November 2015? What have you read this month? Let me […]
