Most of these stories in A Christmas Feast and Other Stories have previously been published. But the only one I have every read is The Undercover Cook.
A Christmas Feast is a feast without the gluttony, that feeling of being stuffed and unable to try more. In fact the very opposite is true. Short stories are, well, short. They give you a taste of the author and a taste on what can be offered, unfortunately I was left wanting more. I felt that so many of these stories could be expanded on.
And on top of all those wonderful short stories there was a sneak preview of Katie’s new book. Which looks like it is going to be a cracker and I can’t wait to read it!
The sections/chapters were ingeniously titled – ‘Champagne and Canapes, Cheeseboard, Coffee and Chocolate Truffles’ – to name a few. Each of this titles matched the stories on offer so well, each time I saw these words I would have a little giggle to myself.
These stories are satisfying, heart-warming and will leave you with a little warm, happy feeling. It’s doesn’t matter if you are new to Katie Fforde or a devoted fan. There is something for everyone in this delectable feast!
