Welcome to my feature, Pastime Pleasures, posted every other Friday. Today is the turn of Angus Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison. Here I will look at books that have given me great pleasure in the past. These are books I can read over and over again. The only rule is that the book must have been published five or more years ago. Georgia is a very funny and very frank teenager. Georgia is an incredibly self-centered and vain teen who is also prone to exaggeration and finds herself in the most ridiculous situations. Written in a diary style Georgia talks about anything that crosses her mind from her parents to shaving off her eyebrows, her massive cat and boys. Obviously. What works is that Georgia is extremely honest. The situations she finds herself in, are life-changing (in her mind) problems – like her cat Angus attempting to eat next-doors poodle.
