Yes! It is amazing to be back on Jewel Island in Autumn Skies over Ruby Falls. I had fallen in love with the island in Sunrise over Sapphire Bay with Aria and Noah. I was excited to see how their relationship had progressed and also get to know Clover and Angel better.
From the last book it was pretty obvious that something had happened to Clover in her last relationship. And it was something that stopped her pursuing anything with Angel. Even if it was obvious that she wanted too. Add to that the fact that Angel had never really been in a serious relationship and you could see why they needed to time to tell one another their feelings.
Also I love the Halloween vibes and spooky fun that played a key part in the book. I can’t really think of a previous book where Halloween has played a prominent role. If you have any suggestions let me know!
Angel was definitely my favourite. I loved how at ease with himself he was. And how he was willing to do silly things to make others around him happy and comfortable. I loved the scene where he attended a ballet class that Clover was teaching. Just to show that he was there for her and would do whatever it takes to make her comfortable.
As with any romance, there are some ups and downs. As each person doesn’t tell the other how they truly feel in a bit not to upset or hurt the other. And add to that there are a few obstacles thrown in their way. But as with any Holly Martin book you can tell that Clover and Angel belong together and that they will find that moment.
Autumn Skies over Ruby Falls is filled with heartfelt moments, joy and a romance that will have you begging for more. I loved reading more about Clover and Angels story. And I cannot wait for the next time!
