Monthly Round-Up! November 2020

Monthly Round-up, linking everything that has happened in the last month, posted on the last day of said month. This Round-up  November 2020. So November was a strange month, here in the UK. We were all put back in lockdown. And #lockdown2 started trending. Luckily it is a short sharp lockdown. But as things stand after lockdown we will be back in the tiered system and most of the country will still face tougher restrictions. So a more relaxed lockdown? Being unable to go out, should mean that I am loving reading and working my way through my TBR. But that is not the case. I’m enjoying the book I am currently reading but I just can’t find the enthusiasm to binge it. However I am off today so maybe that will help… Currently reading:   Reviews:   Blog Tours:   Pastime Pleasures:   Challenges: As per usual I’m participating in the Goodreads Challenge.   So what do you think of my round-up November 2020? What have you read this month? Let me know in the comments below! Subscribe to […]

Pastime Pleasures #38 – Game of Throne by George R.R. Martin

Welcome to my feature, Pastime Pleasures all about books I have loved and adored and were published over five years.  Today is the turn of Game of Throne by George R R Martin. So other than The Lord of The Rings, this is one of my favourite High Fantasy books. And out of this whole series this is probably my favourite book. To be honest I am struggling to describe my feelings on this book. Because I loved everything about it. It is detailed, completed and there is a lot of information to understand. I also loved that the chapters are told from multiple perspectives. After all it is a vast world that we are having to deal with and this is the easiest way to look at it. My favourites are defiantly Arya and Jon Snow. I had to speed through the other chapters just to get to theirs. While this story feels very medieval in telling there is also a hint of fantasy as there are constant mentions of dragon and we even have dragon skulls in the […]
