Welcome to my  feature, Pastime Pleasures, posted every other Friday. Today is the turn of Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. Here I will look at books that have given me great pleasure in the past. These are books I can read over and over again. The only rule is that the book must have been published five or more years ago. Firstly you need to forget the film, there is so much that the film misses out that shows the extremes Andy goes to to achieve all her boss desires. In the book Miranda is an extremely difficult woman not only to work with but to also like and has an often used acid tongue. Emily is a slave to fashion and worships Miranda. And Lily has a far bigger and more significant role. Andy becomes obsessed with her new job, hoping that if she works hard enough for a year Miranda will give her a good reference.
