Welcome to my  feature, Pastime Pleasures, posted every other Friday. Today is the turn of The Ex-Boyfriend’s Handbook by Matt Dunn. Here I will look at books that have given me great pleasure in the past. These are books I can read over and over again. The only rule is that the book must have been published five or more years ago. This was the first chick-lit book I ever read that was from a guy’s perspective. Normally you have the girl doing whatever it takes to get the guy back but here the roles are reversed. Jane has left Edward. She has gone off to Tibet leaving him with an empty flat and three months to improve himself. So Edward embarks on a journey to improve himself, to see if he has any aspirations or goals and, perhaps most importantly, to lose weight.  It is a lot to ask for in such a short space of time.
