Today I am delighted to be part of the Blog Tour for Late Summer in the Vineyard by Jo Thomas. I loved reading Late Summer in the Vineyard (see my review) and it has me longing for tasting wine and finding the sun! Don’t forget to visit other blog stops along the tour for other great content. Below Jo shares her top 5 places to enjoy wine!

Top 5 Places to Enjoy Your Wine:

  1. My favourite glass of wine is in the sun, at Monique’s bar where I stay at a writer’s retreat in France. She serves it in a chilled glass from the freezer. And if I’m drinking rose wine at Monique’s it means I’ve finished my word count for the day.
  1. West Wales. I love to sit and look at the sea with a glass of rose in my hand, smelling the sea air and listening to the sound of the waves, the call of the seagulls and the clanking of the sails on the boats moored there.
  1. In front of a roaring log fire. Just like when I went oyster farming with Katie Fforde in Scotland. I’ve never been so wet. A glass of wine in front of the fire that evening was heaven!
  1. In the vines. When I was researching Late Summer in the Vineyard, it was amazing to be able to drink the wine in amongst the vineyards they’d grown in.
  1. A cheeky glass of rose….. It’s the glass of rose you weren’t expecting to have. A snatched moment of relaxation with friends or family when you take time out to laugh and love the ones your with.

But a glass of wine can feel like you’re on a magic, flying carpet. It can take you right back to a happy memory, a favourite place, someone you love being with. It’s not where you are, it’s where the memories take you.

Thank you so much Jo for these top five places to enjoy your wine, what is your favourite place for a glass of wine? For me, you can’t beat it being in middle of winter with a fire roaring and a blanket over your lap and a book in the other hand. That is perfection.
