Today is my Birthday 🙂 So today I’m going to share five bookish things I will be getting up to for my Birthday. From food, drink and games, let me know if you have any more suggestions or if you will be trying anything out!
1. Have Cocktails, Literacy inspired.
As anyone who knows me will tell you, I love a good cocktail.
How about, One Flew Over the Cosmo’s Nest or Tequila Mockingbird or Are you There God? Its Margarita what ever your tipple I’ve got you covered with Tequila Mockingbird filled with some gorgeous cocktails to set you on track.
2. Read a Book
I’m never far from a book and almost always have one one on the go. This year I’ve requesting some books I’ve been meaning to read for ages so hopefully I will wake up to that smell of new books.
3. Eat book themed cake!
Whether you’re a cake fan or not everyone needs cake on their birthday.
And there are so many that you can do. Whether is an open book, a character from your favourite book or even food from your favourite book. The opportunities are endless!
I recently made Sorting Hat cupcakes for my sister’s birthday. They were delicious be so sweet! I honestly could only have half of one.
4. Have a literature themed dinner.
This is different from cake. Okay. And something that I’ve never done before.
As a potter head I’ve always dreamt of sitting in the Great Hall and devouring a feast. Preferably the Halloween feast.
However I would also be quite happy with Pride and Prejudice, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan….
5. Literature inspired party games!
Anyone heard of Authors? It is a bit like Go Fish or Top Trumps. It’s super easy to play as well as fun.
Or what about Charades?
Or even a murder mystery with a book theme.
The possibilities are endless.
So these are the five bookish things that I will be doing today as part of my Birthday! Please let me know if you will be joining in?
