With a price on her head, the evil Queen Sophia out for blood, and no idea who to trust, Camellia Beaureguard, the former favorite Belle, must race against time to find the ailing Princess Charlotte, who has disappeared without a trace. Sophia's imperial forces will stop at nothing to keep Camille, her sister Edel, and her loyal guard, Rémy, from returning Charlotte to the palace and her rightful place as queen.

With the help of an underground resistance movement called the Iron Ladies--a society that rejects beauty treatments entirely--and the backing of alternative newspaper the Spider's Web, Camille uses her powers, her connections, and her cunning to outwit her greatest nemesis, Sophia, and attempt to restore peace to Orléans. But enemies lurk in the most unexpected places, forcing Camille to decide just how much she's willing to sacrifice to save her people.

I honestly feel like I have never been so excited for a book. I adored The Belles last year and could not wait to dive into Everlasting Rose.

When I first started, I have to admit that I was confused because I couldn’t remember the full story. It also doesn’t help that you are thrown straight into where The Belles left off.  However, after a couple of pages it all came rushing back.

This was a book that was crammed with details as Camille and her sister search for the missing princess and avoid capture. Along the way they learn just how powerful their skills are, the true meaning of friendship and learn to make difficult decisions.

They also meet with the Iron Ladies – a group that are more like spiders, accepting of their nature. And truely creepy.

But they seem tame compared to theunstable Sophia. One thing I do wish is that we got to see more of Sophia’s behaviour and her decision making. We only get glimpses of her decisions from the newspaper headings.

I’m not sure if this is going to be left as a duology but I hope we get more of this bright beautiful world.

Everlasting Rose, was a perfect read, with a fantastic blend of romance, adventure and suspense. There was a baddie to boo and a hero to cheer. There was also a maybe awrkard love triangle / square / other shape.

Everlasting Rose managed to wow and hold my attention and I never wanted it to stop. And at the moment while this seems to be a duology. I hope and pray that there will be another book in the works. Because I feel like there is so much more that needs to be told. And I just don’t want to let go of this world.
