‘We’ll meet again at St Pancras station, a year from today. If we’re meant to be together, we’ll both be there. If we’re not, it was never meant to be . . .’
Phoebe and Sam meet by chance at St Pancras station. Heading in opposite directions, both seeking their own adventures, meeting the love of their lives wasn’t part of the plan. So they make a promise: to meet again in the same place in twelve months' time if they still want to be together.
But is life ever as simple as that?
This is a story of what-ifs and maybes – and how one decision can change your life forever…
The Day We Meet Again is one of those insta-connection stories, that is so thoughtful so genuine you cannot help but believe in it. Not only between Sam and Phoebe but also between the characters and the reader.
I did love visiting all the places that Phoebe travelled to and seeing Sam reconnect to his family home. But for me their separate travels dragged… as it was the anticipation of Sam and Phoebe meeting again after a year apart that kept me going.
This is, after all a love story with potential to go wrong. With a whole year apart, there is the issue of long distance, of meeting someone else and the simple point of maybe just changing their mind. There is actually so much potential for this book that I did not want it to end.
The Day We Meet Again is a treat of a book that you can not help falling in love with. And I certainly fell in love with this book. The Day We Meet Again is filled with luscious moments, heartfelt emotions and gorgeous scenes that preventing me from putting it down.
Filled with anticipation, love and travel this is the perfect book.
