I really loved the fact that this book isn’t defined by a rocky love interest and pining. Yep there is romance. But there is also so much more to this book. There is goals and love and ability. There is a drive to Bey and Lola that would not be there if there was a man in their lives. Both put their family and their needs first. And create for some beautiful moments.
What Happened That Night is a fantastic read and beautiful writing, showing how to be an independent single woman. This is one book that is perfect to cosy up with for a fun weekend read.
