When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown - or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, Ameica realizes just how much she stands to lose - and how hard she' ll have to fight for the future she wants.

Again there is ANOTHER pretty dress to admire on the cover 🙂 yay! Although on The One it is white so not so much a fan as the other dresses on the Selection covers (I don’t really like white clothes).

Ok so we ended how I predicted way, way back. But there were plenty of twists and turns and at one point I even had a moment of doubt. Which to be honest was slightly uncalled for. But The One is definitely more action-based that the previous stories. We find out what the rebels one, America gets injured, she has to go home for a family crisis and so much more. It’s good, okay?

And despite my claims of predictability, there are still moments that are shocking, even unexpected. And I liked that despite knowing how the story was going to end, there where times when I doubted myself, and times when events were unforeseeable.

This was a perfect way to the end the trilogy (yes I know that there is another book – but that has a different protagonist and so can be considered separately).

This is a page-turner and one that has become one of my not so guilty pleasures. Utter joy to read and cannot not wait to read the next instalment!

I love the covers of these books, despite knowing the girl in a dress theme is overused haha.

I really need to check out these books, The Bachelor is one of my guilty pleasure watch and these seem like a novel version of that.

    • I don’t care if the cover is overused, if its good that is all that matters, right?

You should definitely read this series if you love The Bachelor, this series is basically reality TV in book form and is such a good guilty pleasure! I read the three books in one day their that good 🙂
